Visit with Medicare Advisors

North Star Credit Union (NSCU) has partnered with TruLync Medicare Advisors. These advisors are available to help our members understand Medicare and explain their options as Medicare is complicated.

TruLync offers 8 insurance carriers that provide 61 plan options in the following states. MN, WI, CO, IA, MO and SD.

They are a free resource and advocacy for members.

NSCU will be having several group educational sessions with licensed Medicare advisors from TruLync this fall.

What to know about Medicare

• Medicare is a complicated subject.
• All of our members will need to take action at some point in their life to activate this benefit.
• People are eligible to receive Medicare insurance at 65 years of age.
  • Some delay this benefit due to receiving health insurance through their or their spouse’s continuing employment.
• Some people even assist their loved ones with Medicare. Sharing TruLync Medicare Advisors information to them can save their time and confirm their loved ones are in the right Medicare insurance products for their healthcare needs.
• People as early as 62 are targeted by various insurance companies, insurance brokers, etc.

Group Educational Sessions

Sign up for a group session by contacting any branch location or register online. This is available for any NSCU members already enrolled in Medicare, any members 63-64 years of age who are gearing up for Medicare and anyone else who would like to gather more information.  

These sessions will be held on the following dates:

• September 18^th, Cook Community Center, 10am-11am
• September 18^th, Mountain Iron Community Center, 2pm-3pm

• October 21^st, Mountain Iron Community Center, 2pm-3pm
• October 22^nd, Comfort Inn in West Duluth, 10am-11am

• October 23^rd, American Legion Hall in Nashwauk, 12pm-1pm
• October 23^rd, American Legion Hall in Nashwauk, 4pm-5pm

One-on-one Appointments:

Members may call TruLync Medicare Advisors directly to book their one-on-one appointments. Again, are free to our members.

• These advisors will be in our area the week of October 21^st, so this would be a good time to connect with them. However, members may reach out to book appointments before or after the group sessions throughout the year.
