One of North Star Credit Union (NSCU) members won big through the WINcentive® Savings program offered at NSCU.

Lanaya was surprised yesterday afternoon with a check for $5,000 just by saving money with NSCU.

“It was so exciting to be able to surprise Lanaya with a check yesterday,” said Christie Kainwo, regional branch manager for NSCU. “We are thrilled that one of our members won.”

Every $25 saved, up to four per month, is an entry into a statewide drawing for prizes ranging from $25 to $5,000. NSCU also recently gave out $500 to another member for NSCU’s annual WINcentive drawing.

Monthly, quarterly, and annually prizes are awarded.

“WINcentive® Savings program is a great option for our members to earn money while saving money,” said Kainwo.

Since 2016, 8,700 WINcentive savings accounts have been opened with nearly $13 million saved. Minnesota credit union members totaling $100,000 in prizes were awarded in 2022 to Minnesota credit union members.
