Meet Drew
Drew lives in Britt with his wonderful family and his big Great Pyrenees, Hank. He has been in finance for a little over three years and loves being a part of the incredible team at North Star Credit Union. He is a sports guy. who enjoys watching hockey, football, golf, and basketball. Go Wolves! He coached a youth baseball team last summer and hopes to do more coaching in the future. He also enjoy the outdoors and is grateful to live so close to one of his favorite places on earth, the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. He is an easy-going, friendly, and enthusiastic guy to be around. He is passionate about his job and serving people in his community. He finds it fulfilling to work with people in areas of finance and is driven to grow so as to better serve his community. He is a certified credit union financial counselor and enjoys learning and teaching ways in which he can improve his own financial well-being as well as others. This is why he is thrilled to be a part of the North Star Credit Union podcast and hopes that others will will tune in to our episodes!

Meet Jessie
Jessica grew up in Embarrass, Minnesota and moved to Chisholm after graduating college. She is an entertainer at heart – she loves seeing people smile. She worked for the radio station network in Hibbing for 21 years and is the frontperson/singer in a local band. She is the proud mother of an 18-year-old graduating from High school and MN North College at the end of May, and three stepdaughters – Emilie, Abbie and Dana. She is new to North Star Credit Union and the world of finance. Jessie has learned so much in the past few months, and is excited to have the opportunity to help people with their financial goals. She loves interacting with people and it energizes her when she knows she can make a difference in their day for the better. She is proud to be a part of the North Star Credit Union’s Financial Compass Podcast, guiding listeners and members to Financial Wellness with Drew and Melissa!
Meet Melissa
Melissa loves living on in the Iron Range with her family and being a part of the community. She has a passion for journalism and enjoys hearing stories about people in this region. Being a part of the credit union team has made a meaningful difference in her life. She is thankful for the chance to share stories and connect with listeners about trying to navigate the financial world and find direction in life. Her hope is that people are able to look North and know there’s someone at the credit union who is in their corner and cares about their journey. She believes it is not just about charting their financial path, but exploring overall wellness. She is excited to share this with Drew and Jessie who are full of heart, and to also interview guests during the podcast.
